Not long ago, my family went through something most people quietly fear: suspicious activity on a loved one’s bank accounts. Someone had used a lookalike business email to open a bank login in the name of an older relative who isn’t online. What followed was a rollercoaster of calls to the bank, closing accounts and credit cards, opening new ones, and tracking down every automatic payment and deposit before anything slipped through the cracks.
We navigated it together. And as we did, I had the idea for Safelist Co.: the clear plan we wished we’d had from the start.
